The hack: What it is and why it matters to urban studies

This commentary advances the ‘hack’ as an urban concept. While hack transcends existing literatures on digital and informality, it is a distinctive concept being used systematically in new domains. I situate conceptually, outline its empirical methodological value propose framework to research hack. Importantly, not just technologies of hacking but translation computational logics that underpins importance hack, well critical need set out agenda surrounding within studies.
